“Our backyard gets southern exposure, so the afternoon sun is brutal. We needed somewhere shady to rest. We had a stone patio built, and now the pavilion takes up about half of it. We put some nice outdoor furniture – a table, chairs, some lounges and it’s been great.

The inspector came out and wanted them to add hurricane ties, which they did without a problem – that pavilion isn’t going anywhere! “Last year we moved to Pembroke, MA, and decided that instead of going on vacation, we would turn our backyard into a relaxing vacation spot at home. We started with phase one last summer which was the in-ground pool. Phase two was completed this spring and summer. We added a fire pit area, pavilion, and summer kitchen. Since the unit was pre-built the delivery experience and placement was amazing. The mule was used with expertise for safe movement of the building without damage. The operator diligently paying close attention to the challenges of moving the unit into place over a hip wall and setting down on the exact location. Worked on verifying the unit was level and the final construction pieces were attached in true spirit of the Amish who take pride in their work.”

We recently ordered a large shed with customized features. They did a good job in preparing a stone pad, and because our property has a slight slope, it required that the surface be level all around. They brought it in with a huge truck. They did this very professionally.
The shed itself is very strong, built with quality materials, built right at their shop on Peters Road in Lancaster County, and it is beautiful!. There were no short-cuts taken as you might sometimes see when looking at sheds at the big home supply stores. And we were surprised that the price was very competitive! Shortly after the install took place, we lost our keys, and we called them and they also went out of their way to help us with that. Our thanks go out to Steve, Jay, and Merv and all of the staff. I just wanted to take a minute to thank the crew at Homestead Structures for the wonderful playhouse they built on site for my daughter. Everything from the quote to the installation went smooth and the service was impeccable. Quote on Friday, purchased on Monday, and installation complete on Thursday of same week. The following Monday was the day of super storm Sandy. New Jersey was going to get hit pretty hard. I was very concerned about the playhouse. It was constructed 7' high on a deck platform that we had built. The winds were intense and long lasting all night. I was worried that the entire thing would crash to the ground at the very least, shutters, shingles, and siding would be destroyed. However, that was not the case. There was zero damage to the playhouse. Not a shingle blew off. On the other hand my house lost shutters, siding trim, trees, and a batting cage. Thank you Homestead Structures for a job well done. This shed is built better and with more "extra" touches than I applied when I built my first shed 38 years ago.
While some might say that i is only a minor detail when I noticed Aaron installing the "flashing strips" on the sides and under the eves overhang I was thoroughly impressed. Then when I noticed the strip was color coded to the color of the shed,..... well what more can I say. And this is just one example. Merv was a pleasure to work with during the sales process. Since both my wife and I are originally from the southeast PA area. We visited Homestead Structures in Feb to do the initial planning. The rest of the planning was done by email and phone. We had a few revisions which Merv turned around quickly. The actual pool house construction was done in June. The crew, Alvin, Benji, Sam and Omar arrived midday after leaving PA very early to get to NH. That first day was amazing, they got the walls and roof up and the roof covered with tar paper before stopping for the night. They definitely worked until dark. The entire project took 3-1/2 days. Each day they worked from 7 AM until dusk. The workmanship was excellent. The entire project was an extremely pleasant experience.
